Study And Application Of Yellow River Delta Marine Geographic Information System

Based on the survey data from the sub-item 'Yellow River delta erosion-deposition conversion mechanism and the trend estimates' of the National 973 Projects supported by Ocean University of China, we have constructed Yellow River Delta Marine Geographic Information System which can provide a good platform for scienc researchers to manage and analyse data and extend the further research in the region of Yellow River Delta. .This system includes construction of database, the general functions of marine Gis, the key module research and development.1) Database Design and Construction. By analyze the types and features of Yellow River Delta survey data, this system utilized the prevailing ArcSDE saptial data engine and RDBMS SQL Server database technique to storge the spatital and attribute data so that we can storge multi-source data types like text, numeric, vector figures and rastor figures into the database of this system.. After these have been done, this Marine Gis system can provide an effective platform for data management and analysis.2) General Functions Realization. This part includes the connection of the system and the database, image registration, image edition, analysis of spatial data, unification of projection and coordinates system and so on.
