When researching the interaction process of laser pulse with atomic clusters, and the collision process of atomic with ion beam from accelerator, it is necessary to turn laser beam or ion beam from accelerator into laser pulse or ion pulse. Sometimes, these signals must be synchronous. Otherwise, the system using to measure result requires that these signals must be synchronous. These signals usually use to control electric field with function of accelerating ion. TOF is belonged to the system. Sometimes, many signals are required to match in time. In the process of experiment, instrument to control time for multichannel pulses is necessary and that those characters of pulses are variable. Those characters include period of pulse, rate of width of pulse and period, number of pulses from one channel. So, designer finished the Timing-control circuit for multichannel pulses based on FPGA.This paper finished pulse-circuit based on EP1C3T100C8 FPGA chip belonged to cyclone family of Altera Corporation. The circuit card can provide several functions: 8 pulses , Multichannel pulses Timing-control, adjustable period of every pulse, adjustable rate of pulse and period, adjustable delay-time of every pulse refer to synchronous signal. In the paper, author introduced internal-frame of FPGA chip and method designed FPGA. Otherwise, the paper discussed design method about pulse with higher-frequency based on digital programmed chip, and how to make use of VHDL design hard-ware circuit and show the principle and method about how to finish the instrument. Author also discuss means and finished design precision power using PWM technology, and the paper also showed configuration scheme and AS configuration process and data communication system and interface circuit.
