The paper studies systematically the fauna of Odonata in Guizhou province。From the first to the fifth chapter, taxonomic status, scientific meaning , research history, body structure, morphological characters , biology, geography distribution and glossary are treated in detail. In the sixth chapter , all the known species of Odonata in Guizhou are systematically assembled. 144 species belonging to72 genera in 16 families are studied. Among them, there are 20 new recorded genera ,53 new recorded species and 1new species. The new recorded genera are as following:Cephalaeschna Selys,Deielia Kirby,Brachydiplax Brauer,Lyriothemis Brauer,Cratilla Kirby,Rhyothemis Hagen,Tramea Hagen,Acisoma Rambur, Libellula Linnaeus, Diplacodes Kirby, Somatochlora Selys,Heliogomphus Laidlaw,Ophiogomphus Selys, Sinolestes Needham, Heliocypha Laidlaw,Aristocypha Laidlaw, Paracercion Weekers et Dumont, Indocnemis Laidlaw,Drepanosticta Laidlaw and Lestes Leach. The keys to 2 suborders ,72 genera and 144 species are given. All Chinese names of genera ,species are proposed and standardized. The paper analyses the fauna of 144 species dragonflies in Zoo geographic Region of the world and China, and shows that there are 5 distribution patterns in Zoo geographic Region of the world.62 speciesare mainly distributed in Oriental region,in which the number makes up 43.05 %.79species are both Oriental and Palaearctic, in which the number makes up54.86%. That in other regions combined account for very low percent. All these species construct 16 distribution groups in seven Chinese Zoogeographic subregions. Among these species 27 (18.75 % ) special species in Central China-South China subregion; 14(9.72%) species are only distributed in Central China subregion;22(15.28 % ) special species in Central China-South China -Southwest-North China subregion and so on . That in other regions combined account for very low .The result is that the species distributed in Central China is dominant.Diplacodes duyunensis Cao, sp.nov.Its prominent characters:Forehead is olive, afterhead with blue-purple reflet; wings are both transparency between male and female;Thorax and abdomen are covered grizzle powders.Appendages are black, inferior is yellow with two small needle teeth in tip.All specimens are preserved in the institute of Entomology of Guizhou university.
