The cycle slip detection and the integer ambiguity resolution are the core questions in the GPS data processing. In accordance with the difficult problem of cycle slip detection and recovery in GPS localization, based on the causes of cycle slip, this thesis systematically analyzes the applicable scopes and survey effects of various cycle slip detection methods. It makes certain improvements on the higher mode method of difference and double method of difference, applies time-based linearization to the cycle slip detection, puts forward the second level combination method suitable for bi-frequency receiver, and introduces two possible methods of cycle slip detection in GPS after modernization.The thesis systematically introduces GPS basic survey quantity and its linear combination, analyzes the reasons and characteristics the cycle slip produces, introduces several commonly used cycle slip examination quantities and their structures, and puts forward cycle slip detection theory which is based on the supposition examination.It studies the receiver clock jump, and discovers that the higher mode method of difference is helpless to the receiver which jumps according to the millisecond. It systematically analyzes the applicable scopes and survey effects of the higher mode method of difference, the phase reduce false distance law, the width lane phase narrow reduce false method, and the ionized layer remnant method of difference. It proposes second level combination method, compiles demonstration program and tests its survey ability and effect with data measured in experiment. The test shows that survey with this method is effective, the principle of this method is simple, and it can calculate fast.It makes improvement to the usual double method of difference, avoids the survey's instability due to multinomial fitting, and adopts the method of obtaining higher mode difference from two poor examination quantity, thus gets good results. It introduces time-related positioning theory, produces one time-based linearization method, applies it to the cycle slip detection, and puts forward two corresponding solutions to the possible problem of"being out of work"in the survey process. It analyzes and compares the applicable scope and survey ability of each cycle slip method.In accordance with the characteristics of GPS after modernization, it proposes mathematical model of three frequencies ionized layer remnant method of difference, and analyzes the survey ability of this method in theory. In accordance with the characteristic that it's easy to get length and width lane fuzziness degree, the thesis puts forward cycle slip detection method based on the probability of success of taking the entire according to the ambiguity degree.This thesis is helpful to the systematic study on the current cycle slip detection and recovery. Adopting the second level combination method proposed by the author, it's comparatively easy to separate and get rid of cycle slip, thus providing clean data sources to the follow-up data processing.
