Ambient vibration method to identify the structural modal parameters according to the measured output data can be widely applied in civil engineering. Traditional ambient vibration method is utilized to estimate the model parameters of discrete models by the discrete data and transform model parameters to structural modal parameters. Stochastic subspace identification method based on continuous model is a bran-new ambient vibration method,based on stochastic time modal, is utilized to estimate the model parameters of discrete models by the discrete data. Stochastic subspace identification method based on continuous model use the syntonic wave technology to identify the structural modal parameters according to stochastic dynamics modal. The method is better to traditional ambient vibration method on many sides.The paper,at first,introduced the theory and the trait of stochastic subspace identification method based on continuous model and stochastic subspace identification method based on discrete model,and emphasized the arithmetic of stochastic subspace identification method based on continuous model.Based on the basic,the paper went deep into the applied arithmetic of stochastic subspace identification method based on continuous model,and pointedly realized the software of stochastic subspace identification method based on continuous model.the paper,subsequently,use stochastic subspace identification method based on continuous model and the software to identify the structural modal parameters of a cable bridge. and compared the outcome with that of stochastic subspace identification method based on discrete model. The compare indicate that stochastic subspace identification method based on continuous model not only is the same with large construction, but also has many excellence,such as good efficiency, excellent stability. At the same time, the compare indicate that the software is right.
