Directed by new theories and approaches of sedimentology diagenesis and reservoir evaluation, focused on reservoir of CI 629 area, strata and depositional system of S32 Sandstone Member are classified; typical depositional facies types, depositional model and horizontal distribution have been studied through depositional facies analysis of single wells, combined with seismic data. Major diagenetic events and stages collaboration have been systematically analysesed, furthermore, the relation between reservoir diagenesis and porosity evolution has been built; thorough studies on reservoir lithology, physical property and pore structure, reservoir development related to depositional environment, diagenesis and tectonic has been discussed; reservoir has been evaluated and predicted by five influential parameters drawn from the results of the study on depositional facies, diagenesis and reservoir characteristic. In the end, favourable reservoir body distribution has been pointed out.
