Because of the complex evolutionary history of the Mesozoic basin of North Qaidam, causing the Mesozoic, especially the structure of Jurassic basin was strongly reconstructed. It is uncertain for geologists understanding the prototype of the basin. This issue influenced the geological history of the whole North Qaidam, also directly restricts us on the evaluation and exploration.Through the comprehensive geological and geophysical data analysis of Dachaidan in North Qaidam, the dissertation completes the Mesozoic of Dachaidan area stratigraphic distribution map and Cenozoic tectonic outline map in North Qaidam. Research confirms that there is a large-scale deposition depression during Mesozoic and Cenozoic. During the early Jurassic it was formed a rift basin. During the Middle Jurassic-Early Cretaceous it was formed a large-scale uniform deposition depression. During the Late Cretaceous it was formed a large-scale tectonic deformation mainly to uplift, which cause a decisive impact of the Jurassic distribution with the late Cenozoic strike-slip and thrust. Late Jurassic-Cretaceous sequence was completely denuded, only remnant Early-Jurassic. The large-scale Late Cenozoic deformational events reconstruct the whole basin. A large number of thrusting faults are well developed in Qaidam basin.Based on geological and geophysical data interpretation, the dissertation establishes the Mesozoic and Cenozoic faults' distribution map in Dachaidan, through the distribution to recognize the restriction. The Mesozoic and Cenozoic and deformational events influenced the sedimentary and the distribution.Using the balanced section technology establish the section structure map and the tectonic evolution map to identify the sequence distribution and structure about the whole basin.
