The tungsten ore deposit can be divided seven kinds of types in southern Jiangxi Province. In these seven kinds of ore deposits type, quartz vein-type is the most important type, and the skarn-type and intrusive body-type are next. The breaking alteration breccia-type tungsten ore deposit is a new ore deposit type in southern Jiangxi Province.The stratum, intrusive rock, and faulted structure are three basic ore-forming geology factors of tungsten ore in the work area. Their spatial distribution exists objectively. Their influence to the ore-forming exists objectively. Therefore, they are the foundation of ore-forming prognosis.We collected mass data and established spatial data by the layer classification which used to appraise ore-forming favorableness.The paper gives the reasonable and favorable ore-forming area by GIS space analysis. It has an assistant reference value in decision-making.This work indicates that appraisal of ore-forming favorableness based on GIS is a new effective method in Ore-forming prognosis.
