The design and analysis of Tensile Membrane is different from the common structures. The steps of the design and analysis of Tensile Membrane are form-finding, cutting pattern design and load analysis. The steps contact and restrict each other. The key steps are form-finding design. They are concerned with the success of Tensile Membrane structure. The form-finding is the most basic and difficult step of the design and analysis of Tensile Membrane. In this paper, the author will introduce nonlinear initial method, stress density method and dynamic relaxation method which are the most popular methods. In this paper, relating compile of programs about force density form-finding methods and Matlab, compiling the relative calculation programs, and analyzing some structure engineering examples, at the same time, setting forth that Matlab is a kind of convenient and effective tool in the analysis of force density form-finding methods and cutting pattern design about tensile membrane construction. It may be used the analysis of form-finding and cutting pattern design about the large-scale and complicated tensile construction.
