With the development of petroleum industry, sequence stratigraphy theories go fast from conventional sequence stratigraphy that is focus on sequence research of basin-type and tectonic oil-gas pool to high-resolution sequence stratigraphy that is applicable to research on subtle traps and reservoir-scale sequence. The sequence framework at the scales of four or five scale is more consistent to the practice of subtle trap exploration and reservoir development than the scale of two or three scale of the conventional sequence. High-Resolution sequence stratigraphic technology is one of most effective approaches these days which are being used extensively in the research of petroleum exploration and development.On the basis of the theory of sequence stratigraphy, sedimentary, and petroleum geology, this paper has made research of indenting sequence stratigraphy, sedimentary, facies, reservoir, and source of deposition by applicating log, seismic and various of analytical data in Xia Er Men oil field of BiYang depression basin. Four-scales cycle was distinguished from the core. Very-short term base level cycle is equal to a sediment incident. Rock in the cycle is made of single lithofacies or lithofacies sequences that made a stratigraphic pattern, it is always made of one single environmental element. Short term cycle is a set of sedimentary incidents, which indicates a stage of water depth changing obviously. In the studying area, it is corresponding to the development of one lobe in a fan of the sub-fan. In the profile, it is often made of one to two environment elements, which indicates a progradation or regression. The sand developed in this stage is equal to single sandbody which is the smallest scale for correlating between wells. Middle term cycle is related to an obvious water changing. In the studying area, it is defined as the process of one fan development. Long term cycle is a set of large scale water changing which forms a local progradation and regression. In the studying area, it is defined as the foundation of fan-complexity. There is response in the scale, which made it possible to make correlation through the well log seismic. seismic profiles for this under the restriction of in the studying zone, four long term cycle, fourteen middle term cycles and lots of short term cycles was identified and correlated. Base on the correlation, the framworkwas founded and the sediment development was discussed.With identification of detrial composition, heavy mineral and so on, combined with traditional geology ways, the result that north Hou Zhuang fan delta and east uplift are the main sediment source of several deltas. On the basis of establishing a model to reflect the relation of well-log facies with corresponding sedimentary facies, the paper analyses the sedimentary facies of research area in detail. From the results, we considered that most of the area belong to sublake fan. And there are three sub facies—inner fan, middle fan and outer fan and five microfacies which are distri butary channel, channel-margin, and inter-channel, peri-turbidite, and distal-turbidity. The text also discusses the sedimentary characteristic and cross section structure of every microfacies.The order of reservoir potential of microfacies in middle-fan subfacies is channel, channel-margin, and inter-channel. The reservoir potential of peri-turbidite of middle fan and distal-turbidity of outer fan is not beneficial reservoir microficies.
