The orogenic belt is the most basic research of the geology. The cause of formation which researchs the continental orogenic belt has been one of leading frontiers in solid earth sciences study since 80'. Through the study of integration of lithology, tectonics, deep physical geography etc, the structural characteristics and evolution of mountain are systemic researched in this paper.Analyzing the stratigraphic features from late Palaeozoic to Cenozoic of southern Bogda, four tectonic-stratigraphic sequences are classificed; According to the sequence stratigraphy in continental basins, nine sequences which is from carboniferous to Jurassic are classificed in northern Tuha basin. The large-scale thrust-nappe structures of orogenic belt in southern Bogda are complex and manifold. According to the stratigraphic contact relationship, compression and slipping effect, the tectonic styles are concretely Analyzed. According to the stress field characteristics, the basic tectonic framework has been analyzed in different period of the region. The process of structural and evolution of orogenic belt in southern Bogda and Tuha basin have been built as the result of analyzing the sedimentary characteristics, tectonic characteristics, and earth chemical characteristics of wide-developed lava in the region, by combining the evolution of mountain and basin. The structural and evolution of northern Tuha basin are mainly effected by the thrust-nappe structures of Bogda in Xishanian.Because of the southwardly strong thrust-nappe structures of Bogda in Xishanian, the manifoi tectonic forms and wide-developed faultages formed in Taibei depression could be not only the channels for oil-gas migration, but also the closed factors for oil-gas pools, while large-scale oil-gas pools are hardly formed in the region.
