Some Studies On Binary Self-dual Code

Digital communication is becoming more and more popular; the way of transmitter data is developing deeply; and message in sending process is increased rapidly. Under such condition, how to reduce and correct mistakes in transmittal process is becoming more and more urgent. This is why the study of coding theory so important. The peculiarity of self-dual code makes the research on self-dual code having academic value, and it also can be wildly applied in practice.In this paper, we attempt to, using the standard form of generator matrix of self-dual code and properties of binary orthogonal matrix, discuss the relationship between self-dual code and binary orthogonal matrix, and the structure of setting binary self-dual code with the same order. In this way, we show ways of constructing new self-dual codes with order n+1, n+2 from the old self-dual code with order n and have some conclusion about the weight enumerator of the self-dual codes.
