To investigate the subpopulation structure within the Han Population in Shanxi area ,a total of 662 DNA samples from ten populations in Shanxi Province , including Baoji, Shangluo , Ankang, Weinan ,Xianyang, Xi'an ,Yan'an, Yulin, Tongchuan and Hanzhong, were genotyped at 9 STR(short tandem repeats) markers. Hardy-Weinberg tests were performed , allele frequencies were compared, and the genetic coancestry coefficient(FST) was estimated ,and some other parameter was computed as Expected heterozygosity and Fixiation index and so on. The results did not show significant departure from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in the total population. Great difference of allele frequencies among these populations was not observed , and the coancestry coefficient (FST)was lower average of which is 0.011. The data were compute by Popgen1.31,Alerque3.01,SPSS11.0 softwares. So we believe subpopulation structure of Han Population in Shanxi province could not be detected. This investigation not only analyzed whether exist obvious subpopulation in Shanxi province, but also enriched data in anthropic genetics.Tibet is one of our country important minority populations, mainly distributed in the tableland of Tibet, the relatively closed environment and special religious culture made the population genetic structure peculiarly. In order to investigate the genetic polymorphism of 9 Y-STR loci including DYS456,DYS391,DYS439,DYS635 etc in Tibetan population , the AmpFl STR? Y-filerTM PCR amplification kit were used to determine 101 unrelated men by analyzing on an ABI PRISM 3100 Genetic analyzer and corresponding softwares . As a result, 44 alleles were got, and a total of 95 haplotypes at 9 Y-STR loci were found .GD value was distributed from 0.452 to 0.803, and The results indicated that the 9 Y-STR loci were highly polomorphic and the haplotypes made of which had high discriminating ability , and had important value in edicolegal identification and human evolution and so on.
