Mud-rock Flow is one of the main geological disasters on Tianshan highway, on the basis of theories and methodologies for debris flows research and with statistic analysis method, wavelet analysis, GIS tool, this paper carried out in-depth studies on Mud-rock Flow formation and the mechanism about Tianshan highway. This paper combined with the"Engineering geology disease studies on Tianshan highway"project of the second special subject, which came from the western part traffic science and technology project of the Ministry of Communications.First, this paper analyzed the environment conditions of mud-rock flow. Such as local topographical particularities, geological-geomorphologic state, hydro-meteorological conditions, soil-vegetation covers features and human impacts. The happenings of mud-rock flow are these conditions coactions result. Analyzing lots of investigation materials, paper has studied the activity history owing area of mud-rock flow, the mud-rock flow genetic classification and has distributed law. Mud-rock flow of type is complicated various, scatter broad. There are 155 debris flow locations; of which 34 debris flows are slope debris flows, 121 gully debris flows. 12 debris flow locations are catalogued.The formation and occurrence of mud-rock flow need some basic conditions (e.g. Provision of loose solid substances, slope saturated with water and favorable topography) and stirring conditions. The downpour types of mud-rock flow, the glacier-downpour type of mud-rock flow are comparatively representative in investigation. The author concentrated on studying the rain, the temperature and wind directions affect the mud-rock flow. On the base of long period rains date about area mud-rock flow, determine and quantitative analysis the early stage of rain, short heaven rain affect rain index and the mud-rock flow formation. It analyzed typical model mud-rock flow, which taken place with main element (the rain, the temperature and humidity), when the height changed. Finally, drawing the representative mud-rock flow outburst front and back with altitude change 3 elements overlying. (The temperature, humidity, wind speed). Analyze features of space-time changing about rain and with the mud-rock flow occurrence of relationship. Have given the edge of rainfall forecasts model about Tianshan highway; built the edge of rainfall forecasts model for the every characteristic area heaven downpour mud-rock flow.Besides, analyzing the relationship about the cause of mud-rock flow and raining, and used present research result for reference, has given the maximal raining of precipitation designs about the Tianshan highway.
