This subject is financially supported by the projects of the National Natural Science Foundation—Multiphysics Field Coupling Mechanism of Smart Layer of Carbon Fiber and Field Diagnosis (Grant No.10672128).In order to examine the strain information on the surface territory, we cover the sensor materials continuously on the surface of the concrete structure to form an intelligent layer, and take advantage of its function character to transform its strain field of the structure into a electrical current field which is easy to examine , through the examination of electrical current field any strain within covered region can be detected and structural damage can be captured. Since short carbon fiber concrete and carbon fiber felt has extremely high compressive resistance sensitivity, they can be used as the intelligent layer referred above. In this paper they will be defined as the smart layer of carbon fiber.As going deeper into the reach, we need to put forward some related theories and try to verify them based on the theoretical trial, and at the same time the importance of the numerical simulation submerges. On one hand, numerical simulation can be calculated in accordance with the assumption theory and compared with the actual test results in order to examine the rationality of the theory; on the other hand, we can remove subjectively some non-essential factors with a view to offer more "virtual experiments" to the deeper theoretical research. Furthermore with the help of virtual experiments, we can avoid some troubles that the term is long and the arts is very complicated in the production of the Smart layer of carbon fiber, with a result of shorter term and higher efficiency. From the above two points, we can see the significant importance of this paper.The main achievements and initiatives of this paper are as following:Firstly, The distribution of electric field under the function of field of force and the law of changing in accordance with the field of force have been varied, the causation that initial value of differential principle will not reach zero in the test have been analyzed and some solutions have been put forward. We also explore the feasibility of laminated beam deflection test taking advantage of compressive resistance property.Secondly, We have researched the response of smart layer of carbon fiber when the beam is damaged, found the method defining the location and degree of damage, and verified the feasibility of the method.Thirdly, Simulate the response of smart layer of carbon fiber in case the beam is under the function of move load or structure is subjected to dynamic damages.This paper is of some importance significance to theoretical research and its practice of the smart intelligent layer.
