In this thesis, through the use of geographic analysis software and computer programs, the catchment topography parameters has been extracted, and let them as the objective conditions for the input of a hydrological model simulating catchment runoff process.This study improved the original convergence calculation method of XAJ model. In the river network convergence stage, the isochrone is used. In order to apply to computer programming, dividing the grading of river network isochrone dynamically, the thesis introduced the concept of the river network bintree structure and the power river length. Through the established river network bintree structure of catchment, the river network confluence isochrone is divided .Then compute the width function value of each confluence distance, the power river length value and the total length of the river between each grade of isochrone. Ultimately calculate the flow contribution of each grade of isochrone to the basin outlet.The sub-basin divided TOPMODEL was in order to consider the effect of the spatial inhomogeneous of underlying surface characteristics and meteorological factors to the model simulation results. In order to reduce the trouble in adjusting parameter caused by excessive parameters in the model parameters process, this study established the correlation relationships between each sub-basin parameters and the entire basin parameters by the terrain index. So just providing a set of entire basin parameters and the distribution of the terrain index, the parameters value of each sub-basin can be calculated through the established correlation relationships.Apply XAJ model which convergence calculation method has been improved, the sub-basin divided TOPMODEL and the entire basin TOPMODEL model to the XingFeng Basin. The simulation results of each model achieved precision demand. The conclusion proved that the improment of the convergence calculation method of XAJ model and the process of divided sub-basin of TOPMODEL are rational.
