A kind of new and useful CCD(Charge Coupled Device) measurement system is presented, which was designed and worked out by us. A CCD spectrograph can be formed by combining it with a grating polychromator.The hardware of our CCD measurement system includes a driver based on a high speed AVR singlechip, a flash AD converter, a data buffer and a computer interface.The configuration of the CCD system, in which a PC is used as a main computer and a singlechip is done as an auxiliary one, is applied conveniently. It can cooperate with most different kinds of CCD by software programming without changing hardware. Thus time of developing hardware for another type of CCD will be saved.The software was developed based on the hardware to satisfy all demands of spectrum measurement. The capabilities of the instrument are improved by using the software. The wavelength error is less than 0.1 nm. The non-uniformity of pixels decreases from 10% to 2% The ratio of signal to noise increases to n1/2 times by integrating times.Many spectrograms measured in our experiment are presented. Comparing and analyzing the spectrograms, we can see that the instrument is very close and accurate.
