GPS has been found an increasingly wide utilization in all fields and trades. GPS isdeveloping towards the integration of multiple position systems and multiple approaches dueto the requirement of high precision and rigorous reliability and actual time in application.Multipath error becomes the obstinate factor at prevent people from achieving higherprecision and enhancing further reliability.Multipath signal can not be given a fairly accurate forecast of what may happen,becausequantity and way of multipath signal can not be determined,and attenuator amplitude anddelaytime of multipath signal Cannot be sete model.The problem of eliminating GPSmultipath error is the hotspot and difficulty research and technics. This paper studieseliminating GPS multipath error through combining the study of the latest and presentcondition both in and out abroad. Based on the analysis and discussion of the principle ofreceiver, the paper deduces and simulates the relationship between pseudorange error causedby multipath error and parameters of multipath signal,the most important is conclude thetruththat the sourse of pseudorange error caused by multipath error, that is correlation of thecomplex signal is changed and even peak excursion. So we put forward the new method ofreconstructing correlation-function curve to eliminate GPS multipatherror.The basic thoughtof this method is that to make correlation peak of received signal and the LOS be on the sameamplitude and with the same width of chip.Then the multipath error can be eliminated intheory. Besides, the method has been proved to be correct by mathematic provements andcomputer simulation using arbitrary numbers of multipath signal and arbitrary condition.The paper analyzes and studys the two questions of reconstructing correlation-functioncurve method. Firstly, we put forward twoways to reconstruct the correlation curve accordingto whether the changed correlation peak. After analyzing the character of the correlation curve,we find the method to judge whether the peak is excurved. Secondly, the confirmation of thecomplex signal and difference value curve, according to the present optimized arithmetics. Weput forward the theory, thought, method, process, progress, and simulation that based on theSimulated Annealing and Genetic Algorithm Arithmetics.Based on all the researches introduced above, we make improvements of the DLL andgive the core programs.Then we make an analysis of its flexibility in the practice.According to the computer simulation, the method using reconstructingcorrelation-function curve eliminating GPS multipath error to improve the DLL can notonly reduce even eliminate multipath error, but also conquer the beyond forecasting. It has a important means to the modern communication system.
