Research Of Sequence Stratigraphy In The West Rift Area Of Songliao Basin

In this paper, the sequence stratigraphy of the west rift area in Songliao Basin is systematically studied on the basis of geological data, well logging data, seismic data. The studied formation consists of Huoshiling group,Shahezi group,Yingchengzi group and Denglouku group formation. Firstly, the article deals with the dividing and correlating methods of stratigraphic formation, and recognizes 8 sequence boundaries, consists of 7 pieces of sequences and 3 pieces of super sequences , and sets up the time-equivalent stratigraphy framework of the west rift area of Songliao basin by tracing comparison using joint-well seismic profile and combination for seismic and well. Secondly, structural geometry feature, kinematics feature and history of structural evolution are synthetically analyzed in this paper. And the idea is educed that the west rift area is north to east and unitary. The structural history of this region is classified four stages ,they are:strong rift stage,rift to sag stage,sag stage,compressing fold stage. Thirdly, directed by the sequence stratigraphy theory, this paper discusses the sedimentary system, describes the characteristics in every development stage and the source-reservoir-seal association. Then, the characteristics of sequence stratigraphy of researched area are discussed and the model of sequence stratigraphy is established. Finally, the article forecasts the favorable exploration targets.
