With the appearance of Oracle 10g Topology Data Model and Network Data Model, the topology data and network data of GIS will be changed greatly on the side of storage,management and application in Oracle Spatial. This paper studied these two models seriously, and then designed,developed and implemented their application instance system of WebGIS respectively by MapViewer. The three primary researches on this paper were shown as follow:(1) On the side of Topology Data Model:This paper completes the analysis of integral structure for this model, and then concludes a mapping chart of modeling theory,integral structure and interior relation. It induces and concludes all of the signs,meanings and methods of getting values of topology relatoin information data for this model. It studies the method of creating and deleting for this model. It studies and concludes the using method and range of procedures or functions in topology editing package through analyzing the process of topology editing. This paper also puts forward the methods of auto-created and visualizing based on MapX/MapXtreme for this model, and then their correctness are proved by implementing.(2) On the side of Network Data Model:This paper studies the storage model for network data in this model. It studies and concludes the methods of creating and deleting and application interface for this model. This paper also puts forward the methods of auto-created and visualizing based on MapX/MapXtreme for SDO network, and then their correctness are proved by implementing.(3) On the side of application of WebGIS for these two models:This paper studies and practises the Oracle application server MapViewer and it's JavaBean-Based API by systemically and completely. It designs and developes two kinds of WebGIS based on MapViewer. One is the WebGIS of campus underground water supply pipeline based on Topology Data Model. The other is the WebGIS of roads network of GUILIN based on Network Data Model. The former system uses Thin-Client model based on JSP and the later system uses Thick-Client model based on Java Applet. It studies the application of SVG and JPEG in developing system. Besides some general functions of WebGIS ,the system implements the functions of network analyzing,pipeline maintenancing,the shortest path and whthin cost, which can present the characteristic of these two models. It improves the method of identifing geometry of MapViewer bean in implementing process and makes the method more practical. This paper puts forward the method for solving the problem of pipeline's"crossroads"in modeling the pipeline's system. It also puts forward the solution for seting up the system of all kinds of underground pipeline based on topology data model and the solution of using the functions of network data model to network analysis in pipeline's system.
