The Establishment And Application Of Digital Elevation Model In Ocean Battlefield Geographical Environment

The digital elevation model research direction is one of the science of geography information research, and it has been high attentioned by the science of geography information from all walks of life. Nowdays, It rapidly transforms by the theory as the practical application. Day by day,It was used in military in recent years very abroad,from the simulation of flight training, the Missile flight match, nobody aircraft controls, to the simulation of three dimensional battlefield situation and the simulation of military exercise,it was widespread used. The digital elevation model of ocean and land is important constituents with ocean battlefield geographical environment, As a result of different environment, different datas gain method, different elevation datum and the differences of terrain expression emphasis. So the data was difference between the land and ocean terrain characteristic obviously. The field is not continuity and integrity between ocean and land, this has serious hindered the science examination and the resources exploitation at continental shelf. Because present stage Taiwan ocean form particularity, it urgently needed continual digital elevation model data with the battle in the future.The first half part of this article introduced the digital elevation model development and the application of related domain and research goal and background, and introduced the method and the way what was gained the land digital elevation model and the ocean digital elevation model, and it compared the divided characteristic and the data characteristic to the landtopographic diagram data and the electronic nautical chart data.In the next part, on the researching of how to integrate the DEM of ocean battlefield geographical environment on the base of combining with "Three dimensional terrain environment simulation of XXXX", it is summarized the effective method and the way of what are we couple the digital elevation model of ocean and land by solution correlation data standard unification, data fusionmethod, block data detail processing and so many questions. At the same time, detailed introduced this research technology.The system is completed by massive correlations and summary about it.Finally, it is make the simple summary and to propose plan to the research in the future .
