Reservoir geological modeling is quantitative research of reservoir in 3D aspect. The core is the prediction for multidisciplinary integrating, 3D quantification, and visualization in interwell of reservoirs. Xujiahe formation in Baojie gas field showed good prospects for exploration and development. In order to expedite process of the exploration and development, in this paper it is accomplished that includes reservoir 3D geological modeling and forecasting favorable area, which will provide strong technical support for the next step in the development of gas reservoirs.Xujiahe formation is sand gas reservoir with densifing and low permeability. In order to divide available reservoir, build reservoir model and forecast favorable area, the lower limits of reservoir were researched firstly. On the basis of researching geologic characteristic, the minimum pore and throat radius are calculated, and then lower limits are defined by combinating capillary pressure curve and gas-water relative permeability curve. Finally rationality of lower limits is verified by using testing datum.Building fine reservoir geological model is the core of gas reservoir description. In this paper, on the basis of researching geologic characteristic, databases of static and dynamic state are established by a great quantity of research, and then models are built using stochastic modeling technique, which includes tectonic model, strata model, microfacies model, effective thickness model and reservoir parameters (porosity, permeability and water saturation) of 13 layers.Microfacies controls the sand body shape and the interspace distribution characteristics, and they affects the types of reservoir space. So sedimentary facieses is used as restriction condition in the process of reservoir geological modeling ,which make interspace distribution of 3D parameters according with the reservoir geological characteristics.After optimizing the realization models, it is calculated that the reserves abundance and geological ore of total gas field firstly, then synthetical evaluation is made, and finally the optimum well location of development is designed.Studying of the reservoir modeling reveals the sand body distribution and interspace distribution of 3D parameters, which also offers reliable evidences for making the scheme of exploration and development.
