Resistivity had hundred years history. From simple electrical profiling, electrical sounding to high density resistivity method, its theory, technology, equipment, forward and inverse methods are mature. But it still has some limitation. Conventional methods measure only one of the arrays. They have backward data gathering, less data collection and low working efficiency. The high density resistivity method carries on the measure according to the inherent array, and inverses the resistivity section of different arrays. It has not been able fully to use electrodes so that causes the limitation data gathering, the low inversion calculation accuracy what are very difficult to satisfy the actual exploration with the complex geological condition.Australia ZZ Resistivity Imaging R & D center had researched a new recording interpretation system of resistivity, and designed out FlashRES multi-channel, DC exploration system with nearly 10 years. The array is the same as high density resistivity method in the filed. But we can get all possible combinations data which is more 40 times than conventional methods.Using processing software inversion to get resistivity section, and the accuracy of information greatly improved. This paper illustrates the principle and measurement of multi-channel, DC exploration system , compare the resistivity sections of the same model with different resistivity methods and compare the data of resistivity methods in exploration the same place. It's the first time to use multi-channel, DC exploration system in explorating the gob. The results indicate the superiority of multi-channel, DC exploration system with common resistivity methods in data collection, data processing, data abnomal Resolution are verified. And the practicability and feasibility is clarified by Practical work. At present, hole, mine gob and other complex geological problems have not been proven on the ground geophysical solution, but multi-channel, DC exploration system for resolving such problems provides a new approach.
