Energy sources base of Inner Mongolia in Ordos Basin is one of the main succeeded Energy sources base for the country in the 21th century because of its abundant energy sources and mine resources such as coal,petroleum,natural gas and so on.And some key projects which have been constructed successively here have made great progress, including Sulige Economic- technology exploiture section.Whereas,this area is situated at the arid-semiarid climate area,and groundwater is the main water supply source for household water use and industry and agriculture water use.Along with the increasing need of water resource because of the construction and development of energy sources base,shortage of water resource will become a handicap to the development of economy and society here.In order to supply this exploiture section with ample water,the local correlative branch has determined to carry out hydrogeological investigation at the Wulantaolegai area near this exploiture section.The elementary investigation here indicates that there has ample groundwater with high quality at Wulantaolegai area,which can be considered as a main water source region that will support the construction and development of exploiture section with water resource.It has greatly practical significance for the development and reasonable protection of the groundwater resource at Wulantaolegai area to estimate the quantity of groundwater here and to forecast the change tendency of the groundwater table under certain exploitation condition using some scientific method,with considering the sustainable development of society and economy here,the sustainable utilization of groundwater resource and the harmonious development between the society and the environment here as the principles.Firstly,according to the request of construction of Wulantaolegai Water Source Region in Ordos Cretaceous Basin,this paper brings forward the purpose of this research and analyses the academic and practical significance of evaluation of groundwater in this area.Secondly,the author realizes the development actuality and existent problems of evaluation of groundwater and sums up and forecasts the development trend of it based on having done a great deal of research and read a lot of correlative literature.Afterwards,this paper puts forward to establish groundwater numerical model using Visual MODFlow software based on the factual instance of this water source region.The numerical model established contains various parameters. And we can get a set of rational values of these parameters through calibration and verification of the numerical model.However,whether these values are satisfying after calibration and verification,what will happen to the simulation results if the values of these parameters are changed,and what changes will the uncertainty of the values of these parameters bring to the uncertainty of simulation results?These questions should be answered after sensitivity analyzing of the simulation results using certain method.The Orthogonal Experiment method is a very impactful method in analyzing how do multi-factors affect the experiment results.This paper attemptly introduces this method to the sensitivity analysis of groundwater numerical simulation for the first time.And through academic analysis and sufficient argumentation,it indicates that this method can achieve favorable purpose in sensitivity analysis of groundwater numerical simulation.The results of Orthogonal Experiment shows that the main media parameters which can bring influence to the results of groundwater numerical simulation of Wulantaolegai water source region bring different influence degrees to the simulation results,and order these parameters based on their sensitivity values.The results show that the specific yield of the unconfined aquifer is the most influential parameter,and the scale of the value of the sensitivity index of it is higher than others'.So,it is very important to find out the hydrogeology parameters of aquifers in water source region using effective means when doing groundwater resource investigation.At last,this paper computes the sensitivity indexes of these media parameters using conventional method and order these parameters according to the values of their sensitiviey indexes.And the results indicate that the order of these parameters is different from the order arranged using Orthogonal Experiment.And this paper indicates that the later method has it's unique advantage.
