This paper is based on the project named"The research of diverse information prospecting prediction of Eastern GeJiu, YunNan province". After the research of the geologic, metallogenic background, using the 3D modeling software, we have discussed and researched the subject that 3D geological modeling and the quantitative prospecting prediction of concealed ore deep in the old mine which take DaBaiYan prospecting area as an example.Mine modeling is an information framework, which contains the 3D coordinate information and their inter-relationship, it also contains the information we have collected. On the basis of abundant geology, geo-chemistry, geo-physics, RS data, using the Micro-mine, we have established the 3D models of strata, fault, magma, basalt, sulfide, skarn and so on. At the same time, we have established the 3D cube predicting model and drilling model. All these models make a good preparation for the next predicting work.First, using the 3D cube prospecting model and drilling model, we have delineated the 3D geographic coordinates of the metal project prospecting area of tin, copper. As a result, we have found 2595.57 tons of tin, and 553.04 tons of copper. So we have achieved the positioning and quantitative prediction.Second, using the 3D cube prospecting and information number method, we have delineated the future prospecting area of the skarn, sulfide ore. We put the information number of the prospecting signs into the 3D cube, after the calculating, then, we find the future prospecting area. So we have achieved the positioning and the probability prediction.At last, using the 3D cube prospecting and cube ore-output probability method, we have delineated the key area of the skarn, sulfide ore, and have determined the main strata which contain the skarn, sulfide ore, the main the factors which control the output of skarn and sulfide ore, the number of cube which had not found ore before. At the same time, we have done a preliminary study of the 3D visualization.
