Daocheng-Derong area, located in the contiguous area of southwest of Sichuan province and Yunnan province, extending from Three-river Metallogenic Belt to the west margin of the Yangtze platform. There are five obviously different tectonic units including Jinshajiang melange belt, Zhongza block, Yidun island-arc belt, Erze fault-uplift and the west margin of the Yangtze platform in this area which have complicated geological structure, frequent magmatic activity. With the block character of regional geochemistry, the anomaly of geophysical and the mineral assessment results of geologic full-dress investigation, it is showed that there are perfect geologic background conditions for copper mineralizing in the Daocheng-Derong area. However, we just find a large number of copper deposits in Yunnan province (Including the large copper deposits in Pulang and Yangla, the middle sized copper mine in Xuejiping, Hongshan and Tuoding, and the small copper deposits in Zuoma, Langdu). But there is not large copper deposits has been found in Sichuan province. There are two important problem need to solve. One is What cause the obviously different of deposits located? The other is How to improve the prediction level.in Sichuan province?Based on the geological date available, the author analyzed the regional geological features and metallogenic condition of this area, and Utilize Multivariate Information to Make Mineralization Prediction. Hope to solve the problem of Prospecting.1. we found that there is a horizontal zonation characteristic of the deposits distribution and The occurence of copper ore is controlled by regional structure, for example, the Jinshajiang Fault, Erze fault-uplift and so on.2. The intermediate-acid magmatic rocks in our study area have been formed in different tectonic setting. The metallogenic potential of island-arc type granite which belongs to Triassic and related to oceanic crust subduction is well. But the metallogenic potential of Triassic granites near Daocheng which is formed in inner continental lower crustal is poor. But the granite at Zaodui, Zhujiding, Rexiang that is formed in Yanshanian and himalayan period has a good metallogenic condition, because of Copper Element can be get from mantle magma. 3. Use exploratory data analysis statistics the relationship between the Content of Ok Pb,Zn,Au,Mo in stream sediment and underlying bedrock. we found that the Content of Cu in the Triassic granites in south and west of the study area is very high. But which in the northeast is very poor. The difference of the lower limit of element geochemical anomalies between the two place is can reach 10 times, and the Content of Cu in the strata can reach 6 times.4. Based on geographic information system, the author use subregion median contrast filtering method deal with chemical data. After extraction the Ok Mo,Pb,Zn, Au geochemical anomaly of the study area, the author found that this anomaly has a close relationship with metallogenic.5. Finally, the author earranging 10 metallogenic prospect area and screen 10 A-grade, 17 B-grade and 7 C-grade target areas in Sichuan part of the study area.
