The middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River which is riched in the water resources, shortaged of the electric energy. Water energy development is advantage of the Western autonomous region's economic development and cultural prosperity ,and which can improve people's living standards, strengthe national unity and consolidate frontier defense. All of them have far-reaching significance. In order to improve the development of the hydropower resources of Yarlung Zangbo River, the departments concerned to planning a series of cascade hydropower stations in the middle reaches of the river sections.All of which are Pengcuo Lin and Tama Cascade Hydropower Stations.Pengcuo Lin and Tama cascade hydropower stations in the Xaitongmoin Province of Tibet, Which have complex of tectonic setting,Its located in the middle of the Xainza - Xaitongmoin -Dingjie active fault belt. Consequently, Neotectonics of the projection district, research of active structure, stability evaluation of regional structure, activities arising from the effection engineering and suitability evaluation of water energy development. All of these are more important.This paper is based on the geological survey .With the Remote Sensing images, the activities basin, the active fault, the earthquake, the geothermal (Spa) and the stress field, such as a series of new geophysical methods, techniques. And north-south of Xaitongmoin activities belt have the further study.At the same time,by the the method of SEM and ESR,In the conclunsion, the fault is the Holocene activity fault.Xainza-Xaitongmoin-Dingjie north-south active fault belt is composed of the Xainza-Xaitongmoin-Dingjie Graben and the Jaggang Hill -cutting poverty-Ice rap Kong to base, Which bounded by the Yarlung Zangbo River and divided into North-South two sections.In the northern of section, the Xainza-Chazang Co-Xaitongmoin Graben and Jaggang-cutting poverty-Ice rap Kong on the base of cutting are combinationed, For the Southern Section is the Jiding-Dingjie fault belt. Remote sensing imaging features seem clearly distribut of linear.The north-south fault develop within the fault, Which have more activities,and mainly are brittle deformation.In the research field, We found the Quaternary active in the top of TaDing Country for the first time. In which gravel have strong deformation.Beside of the Xaitongmoin north-south active fault belt have the middle-strong earthquake fault, Ms is greater than 6, the intensity belong to VII-VIII, the epicenter of the fault zone along the strong distribution activities.Spa and hot water with the law governing the distribution of the new tectonic movement is one of the types of activities. At the same time, It as an important symbol. Hot Springs on the region which exposed a large of number, types of complex, distributed more intensive and extended longer. There are hydrothermal explosions, geysers, boiling fountains and Feiquan, Hot Springs and Spa, and other types. According to geological background conditions, geophysical field, earthquake geology, active faults, crustal deformation, geological disasters, and venues such as rock and soil type indicators, through qualitative (geology) and quantitative methods (grey theory), approach to the Xaitongmoin Regional tectonic stability assessment. It is concluded that the structural stability of the region is poor.Because of the strong tectonic activity, they will produce a series of projects, such as environmental effects, the strength of the terrain effect, the reservoir effect and the effect of the earthquake, and so on.According to Valley types,topography, formation, rock, tectonic activity, geological disasters, such as structural stability of factors to consider, PengcuoLin, Tama cascade hydropower stations have poor adaptability of the development.In this paper, the results will provide important geological reference materials to the water and electricity planning and development.
