Determination of neutron spectroscopy in nuclear physics, space, reactor and accelerator technology, nuclear protection, oil well logging, and other fields have practical significance. Therefore , the development of neutron spectrometer has important practical significance.Along with digitized technology high-speed development, this kind of technology widespread used in the domain of the nuclear spectrum measurement. The advantage of digital spectrometer which based on the digital signal processing technology is pulse handling capability ,the high precision, the good reliability, the strong flexibility as well as convenient for large scale integration and so on. At the present, as a result of high-speed development of the DSPs (digital signal processor), making its to be apply in the portable instrument, digital spectrum technology is attracting greater attention. This article introduced the basic principles of neutron measuring and the basic structure of digital neutron spectrometer: Data acquisition and data processing. Analysis of basic requirements and the point of attention in the data collection. The focus of the article (data processing) introduced the key technologies of the pulse processing in the digital spectrometer, which include digital baseline restoration, digital pole-zero compensation, and the key technologies of neutron spectrum, i.e. n-γdiscrimination, and these methods through LabVIEW simulation and validity. At the same time, presented the other technologies which digital spectrometer need to be addressed, such as dead time correction, digital filtering shaping, ballistic loss of correction, overlapped pulses rejecting and so on.
