Study On Provincial Fundamental Geo-information Database System

Fundamental geographic information is not only the basis of national economy sustained development and scientific basis for decision-making. It is also the important information source of government information and network. Also in the process of economic and social development, it is the important and indispensable information of various vocation. Hebei provincial committee and provincial government attach great importance to development of my province basic geographic information industry. At present, the most provincial basic geographic information database building still at the starting stage.Provincial basic geographic information database is the basis of the provincial spatial data. With the rapid development of the information industry, the establishment of provincial basic geographic information database, has become a measure of the information degree as an important indicator. The provincial basic geographic information database is playing an increasingly important role to meet the information projects and socio-economic sustainable development.With the development of space information technology, the basic geographic information data and the growing demand, we need to combine the development of new technologies, as soon as to build the coverage of province multi-scale, multi-data sources, a variety of basic geographic information database. We hope the distribution and publishing services of the basic geographic data to better meet the needs of society.In this paper, first, I introduced the background and purpose of the Hebei basic geographic information database system.Next I explained the key technologies of the establishment of the spatial database, Which gave detailed descriptions of the spatial data model Geodatabase and spatial databases engine ArcSDE. Finally, Conjunction with the construction of "Hebei basic geographic information database system," I showed the design of the spatial database system and the realization of the database function.
