With the construction of highways, the geologic hazards occur frequently. Especially in complex geological regions, it is more liable to occurring slope problems around building highways. Therefore, the slope stability of highways will directly affect the safety of the highway line people's life and properties. It's an important task to confirm relations among the influence factors, o evaluate the stability.Chenpo landslide (the revival of ancient landslide)is located in the sector of WeiNan Road Link to GuoYang, right of K14+935~K15+010, ancient landslide was revived because of Roadbed filling and the disposable mound. The volume of Landslide revival is about 8.2×10~4m~3,it is a medium-sized landslide, landslide is mainly accumulation folder-fourth of secondary clay and folder-third of clay, it composed of clay soil under the surface 6.2~7.6 m deep. It is very typical of disaster along the road. Taking this landslide for example, the paper analyzed sensitivity of friction angle, cohesive force, and severe water table and other factors to slide. It analyzed the stability of landslide by using Limit balance, SLOPE/W and FLAC3D respectively, The results show that:①the friction angle is the most sensitive to the landslide through sensitivity analysis, followed by underground water;②the coefficient of landslide stability is 0.99 by Limit equilibrium method, the stability factor is 1.051 by using Bishop method of SLOPE/W module, 1.03 on the condition of weight, When the water level from 5.5m to 3.0m, 0.97 respectively by using FLAC3D;③the paper analyzes the stability and the stress-strain on the conditions of weight and torrential rain respectively by using Numerical analysis method of FLAC3D, it reveals the resurrection of landslide features and summarizes the revival mechanism of ancient landslide. The conclusions will have a certain reference value not only to Chenpo landslide prevention, but also to landslide disaster management for the similar region.
