The technology of remote sensing is a result of information revolution,it is a effective instrument that to realize in time and grip the information of earth resourse in human economical society nowadays.The remote sensing image is a dominating carrier of remote sensing,and it is a register betimes that the characteristic of electromagnetic wave of the ground object,the people can study the ground object determine the nature or fix quantify according to the image characteristic.The image mosaic is produced the requirement of practice.the one reason is limited by the function of different sensors,the land area which one image covered is limited;the second is difficult to gather image in some region(such as the weather is cloudy or the satellite tracks are incontinuiting.the study in this paper belong to the last one above).In a commonly,when we study or apply a remote sensing image,we need to joint many image of different resolution and different satellite and making them as one picture if we want general situation of an entire zone,the process means mosaic.There are not only geometric aberrance but also difference of radicalization in the images between different satellites and different resolution because the parameter of exposal and the acquired date and disposing system are difference,so the same thing what exists in the neighboring images are different.It faced two puzzles that resolution diminishing and color confusioning to mosaic the different resolution remote data.We must dispose the images in order to prevent the resolution diminishing to met the requirement of practice and keep the color equalization.The paper on the base of study myself and drawing lessons from the research results of predecessors,it mainly discussed on processing methods of different resolution image mosaic and color equalization.The sduty depend on the software ERDAS IMAGE V9.1and ENVI4.0 as technology platform,and select the ASTER image which acquired 2004 years and the TM which acquired 2000 years as data source.The processing methods based on the geometric correction and image matching and eliminating color discrepancy and so on,but the key procsssing mothod is band combinations.at the end,it reach the aim that mosaiced image's resolution is maximization and the color is equalization.It laid a foundation for special map through image interpretering.
