Morphologic Taxonomy And Faunal Analysis On Lucanidae From Fujian

This paper is about the systematic study of Lucanidae from Fujian Province.It include three parts.Part 1 Introduces the origin of the name of Lucanidae and the morphological structures in systematic study.Reviews the study history of Lucanidae.Discusses the problems in Lucanidae systematic research.Summarized the habit,behavior and life history.Part 2 Introduces the material and methods used in this paper.Part 3.Recorded 15 genera and 62 species of Fujian lucanid beetles,proposing 1 new record of China:Prosopocoilus oweni(Hope et Westwood,1845)and 9 new record of Fujian province:Lucanus fonti Zilioli,2005,Macrodorcas séguyi De Lisle,1955,Macrodorcas striatipennis(Motschulsky,1861),Serrognathus reichei hirticornis(Jakowlew,1896).,Odontolabis platynota platynota(Hope et Westwood,1845),Prosopocoilus biplagiatus(Westwood,1855),Prosopocoilus confucius(Hope,1842),Prosopocoilus sturalis(Olivier,1789),Prosopocoilus yangi Fukinuki,2004.Than the diagnosis of each genus is described.Keys to genera and species were provided.The citation,description and distribution information were given for most species.Lastly,the geographical features of Lucnidae is discussed.The result revealed the majority species are originated from Oriental region and Fujian is the area where the species composition from differdent zoological region met together.
