Anisotropic medium has a character which physical character change along with direction's change. The electromagnetic plane wave properties in anisotropic medium has different propagate character and parameter.At present,the study of the electromagnetic plane wave properties in anisotropic medium is lossless medium ,so the theory of the electromagnetic plane wave properties in Lossy anisotropic medium should be studied.This thesis,analysed the electromagnetic response in uniaxial anisotropy lossy medium and the left-handed medium.The conclusions as follows:(1)The electromagnetic wave equation in anisotropic and lossy medium which parameter is second order tensor or diagonal tensor were derived,typeâ… and typeâ…¡'s wave vector is gived, analysed its propagate character and parameter. (2)The equivalent wave vector is introduced to the calculation of the lossy anisotropic medium problem. The reflection and transmission coefficients for the TE polarized incident plane wave and The TM polarized incident plane wave on the uniaxial lossy anisotropy medium interface of the principal axis perpendicular to the plane of incidence-the principal axis parallel to the interface, The principal axis parallel to the plane of incidence-the principal axis perpendicular to the interface ,The principal axis parallel to the plane of incidence-the principal axis parallel to the interface were gived. (3) Analysed the electromagnetic response in isotropy left-handed medium and anisotropy left-handed medium,then ananalytical expression is presented for the reflecti on and transmission coefficients in isotropy left-handed medium and anisotropy left-handed medium.
