Barrier and interlayer study is the basic work for a oilfield development and production, for barrier and interlayer distribution have close relationship with formation division, reservoir connection, OIP evaluation and development performance.BZ25-1S oil field, characterized by conventional dense oil, is a lagre scale oil field of later Tertiary of Bohai bay. Lower Minghuazhen Formation is the main payzone, characterized by shallow water delta sedimentary. This study on BZ25-1S oil field is essential because of the frequent variety of the channel sandboies and much variety of barrier and interlayer in Minghuazhen Formation. For this study, the urgent affairs are to make clear the barrier and interlayer distribution rule, analysis there influence on reservoir distribution, and to put forward some suggestions for development project. This study sets up the conversion between every microfacies and logging facies, together with core observation, logging and core analysis, a standard is set up for barrier and interlayer of BZ25-1S oil field. Relying on the geo-modeling software of PETREL, basing on deposition, structure and microfacies analysis, a 3-D geologic model of sandbody and barrier and interlayer was set up.In this paper, according to the analysis of 3-D geologic model of barrier and interlayer, four distribution patterns of barrier and interlayer are sumed up, according to the pattern analysis, give some advice for development, such as selection of the interval of perforation and pattern arrangement for water injection.Besides these, the paper introduced the water injection efficiency of BZ25-1S oil field after applying the achievement of barrier and interlayer study.
