Satellite Positioning System is being used more and more widely nowadays both in military and in daily life. GALILEO is Europe's own satellite navigation system and it achieved a milestone on December 28, 2005, with the launch of its first test satellite-GIOVE-A, which began transmitting navigation signal in early January 2006. Under this developing background of international navigation system, the research of GALILEO receiver means greatly. The paper begins with the structure and composing of GALILEO system. Analyse the BOC (Binary Offset Carrier) modulation which is a special modulation method used in GALILEO signals. Explain the signal structure and modulation method of GALILEO signals. Especially research the construction of signal source in E2-L1-E1 band which provides the open service. Simulate the BOC modulation signal model that received from the antenna. For the acquisition of GALILEO signals, the paper presents a parallel fast acquisition mode called FFT based algorithm, expatiate it theoretically and mathematically. In the aspect of code tracking, the paper simulates the phase discrimination performance of the BOC modulation signal, explain the tracking ambiguous problem of BOC(1,1), find a tracking technique that fits its own characteristic, and also give an algorithm of the discriminator which fits its new correlation function. This algorithm removes the side-peak threat. The correctness and validity of these algorithms have been tested by simulation and experiment. In the aspect of carrier tracking, this paper uses a Costas loop to achieve the effective tracking performance of signal carrier.
