Chief scientist of HGP (Human Genome Project) Collins claimed that the next step of HGP is to annotate the functional elements of genome. The core issue of understanding biological data of genome is to discover protein coding genes and their structures. Thus, collection, integration and prediction of protein coding genes and their structures, establishment of Human genome databases and data dissemination to world are becoming the focus of bioinformatics research.At the aspect of collecting Human protein coding genes information, establishment of reliable datasets and supply of prediction ones are indispensable. Not only can the collection of reliable data be offered by experimental methods, but also corresponding supporting evidence. Requirements of datasets by gene prediction research are meet. At the other aspect, the prediction data of protein coding genes and their structures are supplemented for adapting to the rapid growth in genome sequences.Human genome annotation databases are established, and the protein coding genes and their structure data are stored and managed efficiently. Through deep understanding of Human genome data relations and analyzing query processing of data, the storing model are designed. According to characteristic of data and particularity of application, the principles of redundant backup are adopted to optimize databases. And due to the changes of data, the methods of database scalability are mentioned.The Human protein coding genes and their structures are released on web, and can be accessed through Internet. Layered and "track" strategy are adopted, and difficulty of implementation of user interface are avoided by using SVG technology.
