The Designing And Implementing Of 3DWebGIS JavaScript API

Map Service, one of milestones in the developing history of Geographic Information System (GIS), marks the popularization and civilianization of GIS. 3DWebGIS, the combination of 3DGIS and Internet,develops on the basis of the mature application of 2DWebGIS and is basis of building 3DmapService.The emergence of Google Map API aroused entire geographic information industry wide attention. The various map data manufacturers introduced their own Map API, such as MapABC API, 51ditu Map API, MapBar Map API and so on.In this paper, the author proposed a idea, which is building 3D map service based on designing and implementing of 3DWebGIS JavaScript API, after studying existing problems of current 3DGIS application and some mature 3DGIS platforms, such as Google Earth, WorldWind, Skyline TerraExplorer Pro and so on. The paper completed the design based and realization of some main API of 3DWebGIS JavaScript API on MVC mode.The author developed a simple application of the 3D map service system based on realization of some main API of 3DWebGIS JavaScript API to verify the feasibility and validity of the proposal.
