In this work, the tissue regeneration polarity and process of three species of Laurencia complex ( Laurencia okamurai, Laurencia tristicha, Chondrophycus undulatus ) were investigated under laboratory condition. And four levels of illumination, temperature and salinity were used to explore their effects on the regeneration of tissues chopped from three species of Laurencia complex. We found that under artificial culture environment there was no obvious regeneration polarity of three species of Laurencia complex. The survival rate and regeneration number of buds of chopped tissues above 2 mm length were higher. The bud could grow out of the medulla and the cortex of the fragment of Laurencia okamurai and Chondrophycus undulates, but could only grow out of the cortex of Laurencia tristicha. Under laboratory conditions, the optimal illumination of Laurencia okamurai was 53.55μmol photon m-2 s-1, and the temperature and salinity was 20℃and 35‰; As to Chondrophycus undulatus was 53.55μmol photon m-2 s-1, 20℃and 30‰; And Laurencia tristicha was 53.55μmol photon m-2 s-1, 25℃and 30‰. The present study lay out foundations for further research and massive culture of Laurencia complex.
