With the development of large continuous coverage processing technology and high accuracy seismic acquisition technology,the section of the seismic processing being larger and lager,in some respects,there are some defects.These include the capability of saving large continuous coverage processing section effectively,and how to extract seismic profiles and time slices quickly.By studying the organization and format of three-dimensional seismic processing data,we find that seismic section is saved orderly along the inline orientation,which results the time used to extract crossline,arbitrary line and time slice less than that used to extract inline.In view of this question,the optimum resolvent is at the expense of the use of hard disk space(we make the original section form a new section,then the arrangement of the new section is along the cross-line order ) in order to enhance speed of extracting cross-line,but still cann't meet the ability requirement while extracting time slice.So we need to improve and explore storage algorithms and extracting algorithms of large data. Therefore,we study the organization of the seismic section and Octree priciples, achieve the aim-optimizing the storage of the seismic section using octree algorithms and other corresponding visiting algorithms.This process is very significant to improve the efficiency of extraction of the seismic section.As a new shape expression method,Octree has large application circumstance in the area of optimizing storage of large seismic section and displaying section.In this paper,through researching the data structure of Octree,and how to translate the original organization into Octree structure expression from seismic section,combined with the characters and rules of the coding in the Octree's nodes,we researched two process optimization of extract traverse.One is the extraction process of cross-vertical traverse and time-slicing.In the process,We propose four algorithms of Search Node Surface-Area Algorithm.The four algorithms,Step Algorithm,Binary Inversion, Recursive Algorithm,Optimizing Combination Algorithm.The Other is the extraction process of arbitrary traverse.On the basis of the above four algorithms,we proposed algorithm of Search Poly-line Surface-Area Algorithm,and use Encode Combination Algorithm to cycle calculate of octree nodes.These types of algorithms from complex to easy,from concrete to abstract,reveal the inner rules of Octree node coding deeply.
