Three-Dimensional visualization modelling technology of geology and its application is a cross subject which includes geosciences, computer, software and information technology. In recent years, popularization of computer application to geological project have promoted the development of 3D Geosciences modelling greatly even more.Based on the lucubrate of the principle of the 3D Geosciences modelling, the southern part of HuoLinhe surface coal mine as an instance, we research on the 3D Geosciences modelling and visualization for it.First, the actuality of the 3D Geosciences modelling and visualization, both at home and abroad, are introduced.Second,it introduces the modelling objects of the surface coal mine,and focused on the study of the principle of the 3D Geological visualization modelling,and concludes a kind of method and actualize course which is suitable for 3D visualization modelling in the surface coal mines,including the choice of the modeling methods,visualization technologies,spatial interpolation method,as well as the necessary data and its generalization processions.Third,based on these principles,we choose the MVS which is produced by United States CTECH company, and aim at the southern part of HuoLinhe surface coal mine geological conditions, build a model for this surface coal mine,incluing stratum model,landform model and synthetical geology model.Fouth,make deep study and validation for the modelling.for example the section contrast,it proves that this built model is up to the actual condition.At the same time, we make lucubrate for this model, for example cuting sections and inquiring different stratums,so as to realize the visualization of the deeper geology which can reflact the depth of the coal,distributing of the stratum and so on.At last,through our works upwords,it proves that the concluded method and actualize course for 3D Geosciences modelling of the surface coal mines is feasible.And the 3D Geosciences modelling for the southern part of HuoLinhe surface coal mine which is built in the guidance of these ideology is useful and practical.and further study can be made based on this model,also it is usefull for the production and design for the southern part of HuoLinhe surface coal mine.
