Tacheng basin, Xinjiang, China, is one of the hotspots among geologists, more and more researchers focus on it in recent years. There are many study related to the outcrops around Tacheng basin have already been published, but the understanding about the central region of this basin is poor, the season, as we know, is that the central region is covered by quaternary. The basic geological research can not detail the characteristic of the basement in Tacheng basin, include its deepness and terrain, it can only give a brief frame about the basement by the conclusion of mountain area geology and regional structural character. The reason of this situation is that the basic geological reconnaissance is usually carried out on the earth's surface, it can only return us the upper information; To obtain the inner information, the only way is to theoretical infer, thus results is not bound to be sound. The gravity field and the geo-magnetic field could permeate the materials covering on earth's surface. We can obtain the inner information by gravity-magnetic exploration, and we can obtain the basin information in gravity-magnetic inversion. Because of the ambiguity, gravity-magnetic inversion has its limitation. To cope with the ambiguity in inversion we use the seismic and magnetotelluric section data as the restrictions. This thesis start at geological study, at the beginning we put forward a question which could not be entirely solved by basic geology, namely the characteristic if Tacheng basin basement. Then we carry out a Gravity-magnetic-magnetotelluric- seismic joint inversion to answer this question, the results are proved to be basically sound. Our study will deepen the understanding of Tacheng basin geology.
