In this thesis, the development, matter and mechanism of several kinds of magnetoresistance effect are presented generally and briefly.Co/ITO multilayers were prepared by DC magnetron sputtering method, and Fe/Cr bilayer films were fabricated by co-sputtering method.Co/ITO multilayers were prepared by DC magnetron sputtering method in this thesis. We introduced the fabrication, structual characteristic and measurement of all samples in detail.Atomic Force Microscope images were taken for the samples to investigate the variation of the surface morphology. The magnetic properties of the materials were measured by vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).Magnetoresistance(MR) was measured using the microresistance test system at different temperature. The MR were studied as varying the temperature and impact of mechanism.Fe/Cr bilayers were prepared on glass substrates by ion magnetron sputtering method,We discussed the magnetic property of bilayers by the numbers because of the reverse of bilayers. The ferromagnetic layers displayed much bigger coercive force in Cr/Fe bilayers than in Fe/Cr bilayers. We discussed the relationship of the thickness of antiferromagnetic layers between coercive force and exchange bias.We discussed the coupling effect of Fe and Cr.At low temperature the lower the magnetic field was,the bigger the MR was.At high temperature the bigger the magnetic field was,the smaller the MR was.It indicates that the most important factor which contributes to the MR is the antiferromagnetic coupling at the interface between Fe and Cr.We also discussed the relationship between temperature and magnetoresistance.
