Content:This paper considered the tide-induced head fluctuations in the coastal infinite aquifer system. The system comprises a confined aquifer,a lower semi-permeable layer with infinitely-extending impermeable roof and bottom. In this model,All the effects related to the semi-permeable layer such as the elastic storage, the leakage and the tidal loading efficiency were taken into account.Mathematical model and analytical solution are given.By the semi-permeable layer's leakage, its storage can influence the groundwater head fluctuation significantly.A reality we get that the amplitude at the coastline is half of that at offshore place sufficiently far from the coastline (about>5000m),and the phase shifts at the two locations are the same.Moreover.the influences of the three parameters s,u and L_e on the amplitude and the phase shifts at the coastline are discussed primarily in the last past. The tidal loading efficiency can increase the amplitude, and when u is very small or large in a certain extent (lgu<-11.0 or lgu>-1.0),the tidal head keep at a steady state, whereas if u in the appropriate range, the change of the parameters can bring complex and non-linear variety of the groundwater head.
