With the development of our country's national economy, there are more and more problems of slope stability in engineering construction. Instability and failure of slopes not only affect construction progress and project quality, but also result in person casualties and heavy loss of the national economy. How to evaluate slope stability scientifically and accurately is a problem which needs to solve urgently at present. Slope project's uncertainty, dynamic and openness bring many difficulties to slope stability evaluation. Furthermore, influencing Factors of slope stability are complicated, mutual influence and international, which leads the results of traditional evaluation methods are not exact enough.Aiming at influencing factors of slope stability's complexity and flaws of traditional evaluation methods, the extension theory is introduced in slope stability evaluation in this dissertation, which forms a comprehensive evaluation method based on extension theory. As an evaluation method of non-determination, it has rigorous theory and builds a model of slope stability evaluation by formalized tools, which is suited engineering application. In evaluation process, the dissertation concludes main factors of 7: slope height, slope angle, dip of Slip Surface, cohesion of weak intercalation, Internal friction angle of weak intercalation, rock mass geology mechanics classification RMR, earthquake Intensity; founds the evaluation criteria of stability of rock and soil slopes, which is a foundation for computing of extension comprehensive evaluation method; determines weight coefficients of evaluation Indexes by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The dissertation concludes that the evaluation results are in good agreement with actual status of slope stability through computing and analyzing of engineering examples. Finally, the dissertation checks calculation slope stability of actual projects by method of Morgenstern-Price, obtains factors of safety in natural and rainstorm states. The slope stability grade corresponding to factors of safety is in good agreement with the extension evaluation result. It demonstrates the scientificalness and accuracy of comprehensive evaluation method based on extension theory, which has value of application and extension.
