Habitat Optimization Techniques In Shanghai Urban And Town Based On Avian Ecology

This paper selected two constructing projects which the government thought much of them, that as the examples of the city(the area of the Shanghai Expo) and urban(the area of Chongming Island) to investigate and analyze, then counting the type and quantity of aves in the samples statistically, and recording the habitat factors in the different samples. Through the correlation analysis we can get the factors in the habitat which have a direct impact on the distribution of habitats for aves, then changing these habitat factors in order to optimize the habitat and attract more birds. Making pattern as reference for the future construction, so that Shanghai will become a international metropolis with birds and flowers. Paper is structured as follows:The first chapter of the thesis sets out the background, significance and innovation to the study of this paper, the correlative research both at home and abroad, as well as research content and technology roadmap.The second chapter of the thesis is the research area and research methods, indicating the region's relevant characteristics in Shanghai Expo and Chongming Island, and then describing the aves survey methods, habitat factors survey methods and habitat optimization techniques.The third chapter of the thesis is based on investigating the aves resource and habitat factors which may affect the birds' distribution in Shanghai Expo area. Counting the habitat factors such as park area, water area, shape index, human disturbance, number of tree's species, location condition and habitat styles, and then analyzed with the number of species, density, diversity index and even index of birds in order to get the relationship between the habitat factors and the distribution of aves.The forth chapter of the thesis is based on investigating the aves resource and habitat factors which may affect the birds' distribution in Chongming Island. Counting the proportion of building, the width of roads, the population level, the proportion of water, the width of river, the width of bank protection, the proportion of vegetation, the width of street trees and the street tree-level. and then analyzed with the number of species, density, diversity index and even index of birds in order to get the relationship between the habitat factors and the distribution of aves.The fifth chapter of the thesis is based on the aves surveys, habitat factors surveys, and the correlative analysis, following the principles of Habitat Optimization, to table a proposal in the process of the habitat construction. And turn the result into a model for the correlative building in the future.The last chapter sets out summary and forecast.
