As a kind of large-scale rock mass project, open pit slope engineering takes rock mass as the engineering material and structure, using mining operation as its contruction method. Its stability is the prerequisite for mine normal production. After the excavation of open pit mine, the original rock mass stability will be damaged or disturbed. At the same time,artificial slope will be formed and mechanics will be responded in the rock, It may cause the country rock to lose steadily and destroying. Therefore, it is particularly important to analysis the open pit slope's stability.This article proposes, to many medium rock project of complicated terms, can through set up, reflect geological structure and rock distribute identical accurate three-dimension geological model at space totally, utilize the geological model of three-dimension and integrated technology of coupling of the numerical simulation, set up can 'believe' as well as 'reliable' calculation model, carry on the numerical simulation on mechanics, the security guaranteeing to be produced to the dynamic course of production.This paper ,which takes the open pit slope formed by the open cut mining area inYimen Tongchang Copper Mine as the background, has a system study of how to simulate the slope stability. Around this objective the investigation of rock structure, rock mass quality classification, laboratory rock test and the reducing,which according to some engineering application of the rock mechanical parameters are taken . The geological model of three-dimension to the open pit slope is seted up. then adopt the integrated technology of coupling to change the geological model into the mechanics model by the tetrahedralization with DIMINE sofeware, At the base of above mentioned study,the stability after the open pit slope excavation are analysed with non-linear limit element method (Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua) and limit equation analysis method. The factor-of-safety calculated by strength reduction theory, distribution of stress and displacement characters based on Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion are acquired.. On the basis of all the above work,it is obtained that the open pit slope formed by the opencut mining area in Yimen Tongchang Copper Mine is stable.Through the success simulation of the stability of the open pit slope proved that coupling of the three dimensional geological model and the mechanic simulation can quicker establishment mechanic simulation precursor model. This kind of model can accurate manifest the actual geological characteristic. Furthermore the reasonable conclusion computed through the numerical simulates software prove that the slope angle determined by opencut mining area in Yimen Tongchang Copper Mine is feasible,also it ensure the mine safety production and provide a basis for design and manufacture to Yimen Tongchang Copper Mine...
