With the growing demand of repetitive operation for the systems of high power microwave and industrial application, the development of high-current repetitively pulsed accelerator has attracted more and more attention in the research of pulsed power technology.One of the key technologies is the primary power supply for the repetitive accelerator. The medium energy storage and the direct electrical source to provide the power supply for the repetitive operation of pulsed accelerator are studied in this dissertation. At first, the energy storage in capacitance to afford the power supply of high-current repetitively pulsed accelerator is investigated by the means of theory, simulation and experiment. Then, the power supply afforded directly by the electrical source is analyzed and its circuit is simulated. At last, the feasibility analysis of storage battery and flywheel energy storage to provide the power supply is carried out. These efforts are helpful to design the power supply of high-current repetitively pulsed accelerator. The detailed content and remarkable work include the followings:Firstly, the principle of primary power supply based on capacitance of energy storage and its time diagram are presented. The circuit is analyzed and some expressions are derived, especially, the usable voltage scope of capacitance of energy storage, and the correlation among the voltage of capacitor of energy store,the negative voltage of primary capacitor and the delay time, which is between the turn-on of the charging circuit of capacitor of energy store and the circuit of recuperation. The influence on repetitive operation by delay time of switch, current waveforms and voltage waveforms are simulated. The 256*256 delay time table of switch which is used by the control program to control the repetitive operation of the actual pulsed accelerator is made with the instruction of theory and the simulation of the actual parameters of circuits. The table was used in the long pulse repetitive accelerator experiment, and the results indicated that the control program could get the exact delay time of switch from the table, which made the primary capacitance of transformer achieve consistent charge voltage.Secondly, in order to solve the problem of limited pulse number, super-capacitor with high energy density has been introduced to repetitive primary power supply. The inner resistance of super-capacitor is the key point. Considering the influence of the inner resistance of super-capacitor, the filtration capacitor with fast discharging speed has been introduced as well. Some theoretical and simulated conclusions have been summarized, which will be helpful for the experimental investigation.Finally, the primary power supply of high-current repetitively pulsed accelerator driven by constant-voltage charging and constant-current charging is investigated. The circuit principle, parameters and some problems of primary power supply driven by constant-voltage charging are analyzed, and the similarities and differences between the primary power supply based on capacitor of energy storage and constant-voltage charging are discussed. The circuit parameters and the power request of the system are discussed.
