With the rapid development of Chinese aerospace industry, the precise orbit determination of spacecraft have higher technical requirement for on-board navigation receiver,which can not be met by present single frequency hardware GPS receiver. However, because software receiver have the advantages of openness and flexibility, sophisticated and high-precise navigation algorithm can be conveniently implemented in it to improve the positioning precision and compatibility. Therefore, multi-frequency and multi-system navigation software receiver is the design scheme for next generation receiver. Thus, the implementation of software receiver is a big challenge faced by the design of next generation on-board navigation receiver in spacecraft.This thesis makes thorough study and research in the design and implementation of single frequency software GPS receiver. Specific contents is as follows: probe into the related technical background; introduction of the design of the system on FPGA and DSP platform; completion of the design, test and simulation of GPS receiver ; Design of the optimized algorithm of GPS digital signal processing to implement the software GPS receiver in DSP and FPGA. Thus, entire design and implementation process of software GPS receiver has been tested in this thesis.The design and implementation process of software single-frequency GPS receiver has laid foundation for the further design of multi-frequency and multi-system navigation receiver, which the high-speed data acquisition and processing card can be directly used and the design of algorithm can be used for reference.
