With the rapid development of the computer technology, the new generation of communication technology and Internet technology grow fast. The geographic information systems (GIS), a combinded product of traditional science (geography) and modern science technology (computer), have developed rapidly since the end of 20th century. It provides the common people with the most direct and vivide Map Service. Along with the development of sensing and mobile communication technology, how to make Map Service available for anyone and anything at anytime and anywhere, and this is the 4A service. At the same time, how to make the way of getting map service quickly and effectively for personal users? These become a problem, which need to be solved urgently. In this paper, ubiquitous map service in cooperative mobile computing have been researched, and based on this, a more direct and user-friendly interface has been provided to get the map service. In order to provide the 4A characteristic ubiquitous map service, event-based semantic location model (EBSLM) is regarded as the information model. In this model, query semantics and context semantics have been innovatively introduced to make the context-awared ubiquitous map service available,In order to provide the natural language interface for querying ubiquitous map service, this paper reviews and adopts some existing achievements in natural language research field. And based on the characteristics of querying map service, this paper use the parsing from language to semantics, the reasoning from semantics to pragmatics and the calling of interface for ubiquitous map service at last. Finally, the author carried out a prototype system by extending the LaMoc system. The results of experiments showed that all the three points we concern have been accomplished. The three points are ubiquitous service, friendly interface and good performance. And the research of this paper provides a refercence and attempt for development and application on natural language query of map service, which will contribute to expand the application scope of GIS and enrich the delivery approach of service.
