Sichuan has complex and diverse geological structures, within which China's three major tectonic domains across there, that are west Tethys - Himalayan tectonic domain, the eastern shore of the Pacific tectonic domain and the north of the ancient Asian tectonic domain. The territory of east and west tectonic zone in Sichuan are significantly, roughly north of the Sichuan - Wenchuan - Kangding - Jenny River as the border, the east is the middle Yangtze platform (Taiwan area), and the west of Songpan - Ganzi fold system and the Sanjiang fold system (tank area) . Due to lateral migration of Cenozoic Plateau crust and assam east tectonic wedging of the joint action of end vertex, making changes in the earth's crust in this region is very complex, new tectonic deformation and seismic activity is very strong in mainland China and most significant earthquakes happened there.Due to its special geological structure background, Sichuan Province has become the hot research study for geologists, accumulated with a wealth of geological data and seismic data. Based on the mathematical statistics analyze, we collected different history catalogues of seismic, picked up the right ones to build up a relatively complete earthquake catalog, and analyzed the integrity. According to the faults'spatial location and history earthquakes density characteristics, the study area was ceded by frequent seismic activity with Arc GIS spatial analysis function, and we discussed every sub-area for spatial and temporal characteristics. According this paper, we draw out the following observation and conclusions:1. Collected and established a unified earthquake catalog of Sichuan Province, and its integrity is Ms≥6.0 before 1970, and Ms≥2.0 after 1970.2. By applying Arc GIS spatial analysis modules, several main faults such as Xian shuihe rupture zone were buffered, overlaid with seismic points, we divided Sichuan region into nine earthquake-prone areas.3. According to analyze the occurrence time of the Sichuan earthquake activities, we found that single fault in the seismic activity has no time regular, but each has its own elatively active periods and quiet periods.4. the analysis of seismic activity on the main fault zone is divided into regional seismic activity variations with time, that have the same background or related geological fault earthquake frequency changes with time appears consistent.
